About the 'pair'. *points* If you ask for one please please please request one you know I can see/have written/have somewhat hinted at/have Opinions about (be it positive or negative). (by which I mostly mean: don't ask KakaSasu.) Anything from NejiHina to the Kiba->Saku one-line impliedness is alright. Of course, YMMV on what is an implied pairing in what I write. :3

Kiba's one-sidedness on Sakura is because of the fuck-me boots. There comes a time in every boy ninja life when they start being aware of mesh and such as more than practical clothing, and for Kiba one such revelation were the boots.
She tops him so hard. Kiba likes dirty talking, but it is not an option with Sakura, because all he's left able to do is incoherent grunts/sounds. It does often take place in the administrative buildings of Konoha or the hospital when Sakura's working and Ino isn't on a mission. (Something which Tsunade, as a fellow medic-nin, knows perfectly well but ignores.)
Their first time happened because Ino was teasing and pushing Sakura and Sakura snapped, intent on proving to Ino that she's the prude Ino said she was, and Ino was swept along for the ride.
Except for the semi-public kink, they'd have a fairly vanilla sex life, with the occasional sex-toy/roleplay. As for sex?
It's no secret that Naruto and Hinata are the most sexual characters in Naruto as far as I'm concerned, and I mean that in the most physical sense of the term. (Ino's a flirt.) That's really why they really don't do PDA - and when I say no PDA I mean that before their friends discovered first hand otherwise (what's that in the middle of this should-be empty training groun--) they were unconvinced that the two of them were even kissing. Had Hinata not killed Kabuto and escaped, I think he'd have kept up the ambiguous little touches until she made it clear she viewed it as sexual. Hinata does her best not to be vocal either once she's regained enough conscience of who they are and what they are doing, but before that she was very open about it. Date: 2007-06-13 02:04 pm (UTC)At one point I absolutely loathed the pairing - not because of the pairing actually, but because of the way fans were apparently seeing it as hinted/viable in canon, to which I wondered whether they'd been reading the same chapters I was, because I think that TemaShika canon hints have been dropped on us like big anvils of teenage romance, whereas no matter how hard I look, I can't see one moment that could be construed as ShikaIno having more than platonic feelings in nature.
Now, while it's far from being a favourite of mine, I can perfectly well imagine them growing up and falling in love in a few years, because who doesn't change over that time? And they're teammates, coworkers, friends, they could have hilarious interactions. So I guess I see the attraction. But I really, really can't see it as plausible in the current manga.
There are two fics that helped change my view from 'OMG I hate that ship' to 'OMG I hate the way the ship is taken for granted' and 'if this-or-that changes, why ever not?';
One thing that these four fics have in common, though? No Temari. XD ShikaTema hits a lot of my pairing-kinks, and I fell in love with it when I read the manga for the first time. So canon ShikaIno would get a big no-no from me. But again, ten years in the future, or whatever? Why not.
Now, on the question of Shikamaru and Ino having sex - which is an entirely different topic from them being a couple - well, I can't really see that happen because they're already friends, or something like it, and I don't think they'd want to try and deal with reconciling 1)casual sex, 2)friendship, 3)teamwork, and more especially Chouji (it doesn't help that I like InoChou, too, and I find InoShikaChou, platonic or not, generally much more believable than just ShikaIno).
BUT on the off chance that would have sex, I can safely say that Ino would top. InoShika indeed. Besides Shika would be used to it, what with Temari, and can you tell I'm having trouble keeping interferences out of the pairing? ...Maybe it'd be a one-time thing and they were drunk and oh god I fail so bad at this.
