Date: 2011-07-11 01:56 pm (UTC)favorite female: Cass. She made herself a hero. She’s loyal to the Bat – she’s the only person aside from Bruce to think of the Bat as akin to a religion. She’s even less likely to kill than Bruce. I’m going to use a word I hate to describe a quality, but she’s the most truly pure character I’ve ever met. She’s the best martial artist in the DCU. She’s compassionate even though she doesn’t believe in exceptions to justice. She wants to be Batman. I could go on about all the relationships she has that made me love her fiercely, the stuff with her abusive dad, Bruce and Steph, her disability, her selflessness, but if I had to sum up my reasons for loving her as much as I do (I’m tearing up as I type this, ALL THE FEELINGS), it would be with this: She’s a hero.
least favorite: Heh. Among the heroes and the characters I know well, Tim. I guess like geeky fanboy Tim well enough, but I’ll never be able to view him as unrelated to the icky social issues of the way he was created. I also take issue with the fact that he’s supposed to become better than Bruce at what Bruce does best. I don’t see his weaknesses or vulnerabilities very well. I like him best when he’s Fail!Tim (early Tim being oblivious to Steph’s flirting, awww), but other than that, I’m… at best lukewarm, and generally hostile. Let’s not even get in the issue of when he’s badly written (i.e.: more perfect than everyone ever), at which point I hate him as much as other hate Bruce. My reaction to Tim is very kneejerk.
who resembles me: :-/ Answering that question would be horribly vain. They’re heroes! They’re better and more special than I am! I know who I identify with, but I wouldn’t say they “resemble” me – see the “horribly vain” part.
most attractive: That’s a toss up between Lois Lane and Barbara Gordon. Lois is more my type (I don’t that much for red-heads IRL, plus Lois’ voice is the DCAU is whimper-worthy), but Babs is Oracle. As far as I’m concerned, these two are the sexiest beings in the DCU. In the “attractive and not totally terrifying” square, Anissa.
three more characters that I like: Jason Todd, Stephanie Brown, Rose Wilson. AWESOME KIDS OF HORRIBLE PARENTS – not the reason I like them, but that’s one thing they have in common. And many, many, many more.

yeah she is :D

Haha, it's why I always hate this question XD It always feels so presumptious, and often a very bad fit as well.
AWESOME KIDS OF HORRIBLE PARENTS
that is an interesting narrative kink, granted XD

It is? I don't know, I guess it's just such a common trope that I never really questioned it. It goes hand in hand with the "damaged people" narrative kink I proudly display, and since family is one of my very favorite themes...
