[Meme] Fic trademarks thingy.

What do you think are the "trademarks" of the fiction that I write? What type of themes or characterization notes or quirks keep on manifesting in my writing? Essentially, what do you think is a stereotypically "Runespoor" way of writing fic?

I'd be very interested in hearing your opinion, as well as any C&C you want to give! :)

A few things that I feel are very you:

-A very clear, pure writing style that only uses description where it's necessary, and even then uses it primarily to encase action. You write poetically but also forcefully, and everything serves to propel your general plot or point forward.

-Characterization that follows logically from canon but also extends and matures what we see from there. Your Neji and Hinata are recognizably Neji and Hinata... but they are so much more than just that as well. You put an indelible stamp on everything you write.

And best of all...

-The ability to surprise the hell out of your reader, no matter what you're writing about. As your tag says, you love not merely to break to smash the holy living hell out of cliches and to make readers think critically about common fanfic tropes (Hinata would be happier in the Branch house) that so many other people take from granted. I think that ability to write so well about macro and micro-surprises is what I love most about your writing, and what sets you apart from so many other writers I read!

Oh god description problems. XD I have a love-hate relationship with it. That's... really good to hear you think everything serves to drive the point home, because half the time I think I'm losing myself in digressions. I shall be less paranoid about it from now on!

Eee, generally I fear I'm halfway into OOC territory. That's why I always try to make my reasoning for why the characters are acting the way I make them clear (awkward sentence wut). I try to juggle between the cheap-drama-pretty-dialogue syndrom and ICness, because if it's too much of one or the other the situation gets inextricable and it's deletedeletedeleteweep. Eee, *blushes*
