Oh shit, you guys, I had actually forgotten about the RR #25 cover.

Usually I would squee and do flips because OMG CASS, but with the recent trend of RR - and who am I kidding, with the last page of RR#24, I'm not sure I want to read it. :/ I'll probably end buying the issue (complete the series before it's September and it's over and FabNic is not on RR anymore, one good thing to come out of the Reboot), but I'm not sure I want to read it. Maybe I'll. Put it. Somewhere. And not read it? Ffff what am I saying, if I buy it I'm definitely not going to be able to keep myself from reading it.

Yeah, haven't been buying RR because, well, a. I've been avoiding most post-BftC Bat stuff and b. I find Nicieza highly overrated, but I saw some of the rant on that, and... well. "What a way to go"? Really?

So, my decision not to buy confirmed.

I've been regularly following only RR and Batgirl since Bruce's death/BftC, as I don't like most other characterizations (including Tomasi, whom I also find highly overrated), and RR's been declining since Nicieza took over.

Some of my dislike for his writing is because I'm not a Tim fan, but even then, when one character is written as more Perfect than Perfect at everything including emotional stuff (more intelligent and astute and purer than Dick, for god's sake, and he's always right and no-one calls him on his giving back the Batgirl costume to Cass, among other things), it's very annoying.

And then threatened rape as a cliffhanger. That's one step above rape jokes.

Ohgod, I know exactly what you mean. I like Tim okay, but I hate Nicieza's characterization of him. He comes off as such an ass, and never gets called on it, and his whole "holier than though" thing pisses me the fuck off.
