Reboot: those left behind
Jun. 8th, 2011 08:55 pmFriends, fellow comics fan.
There's only a dozen of titles that haven't been announced yet. And for how many characters that we love and will miss if they disappear? There's no way they're all going to make the cut. Not with the way DC's been choosing the titles.
So I have a proposal. Until September, let's write the hell out of these characters.
Steph and Cass aren't in the reboot? They're too cool for DC and have left to explore the Universe, they're now Cadets on the Enterprise. Your favorite Titans? Rose and Eddie are passing the popcorn and explaining newcomer Kiran why it's not all bad - they're not getting the Donna Troy treatment, not that they'd say that in her hearing. Renee Montoya hasn't been announced? She's a cop in Gotham. As for Lian? Simple: Roy doesn't know yet he has a daughter.
So what do you say, guys? If there's interest in a fest for characters forgotten by the reboot, I'll create a comm. Pass the word!
ETA:
reboot_rejected launched. It will be open for posting on the day the last announcement regarding the rebooted titles are made.

*lol*
I haven't been in DC in a while because of the messiness. I can imagine it is quite upsetting and I fully support you!
...I can't write anything because I am so out of the loop, but I will read. :)

Date: 2011-06-08 10:47 pm (UTC)It's not just that I'm upset (though I am!) at some or many of their choices and the disappearance of beloved characters; the comm itself is about celebrating these characters. They're awesome. They're going to go away. We should spend the summer celebrating all the awesome stuff these soon-to-be-gone characters brought us!
